Μulticultural Chess Club

Every Friday, at about 18:00 we hang out at Steki, Tsamadou 13 and we learn chess by playing chess. Everybody is welcome to join.

Registration 2020-2021 “Piso Thrania”, Steki Metanaston

The teachers of “Piso Thrania” school are welcoming their students!

The registration in our school will take place from Tuesday 29 of September to Friday 2 of October, 18:00-20:00.

“Piso Thrania” is a language school for adults, with Greek, English and Arabic classes. The lessons take place in Steki Metanaston (Tsamadou 13, Exarcheia) Monday to Friday 18:00-20:00.

This year, facing the problem of the virus, the lessons will take place under special circumstances. We will try to keep to these measures that can protect our health, both for students and teachers.

Issue 1 of our newspaper

The theme of the first issue is Solidarity. Please see the relevant questions and write some things about it if you want. You could send them at: pisothraniasteki@gmail.com

1. What the word “solidarity” means to you. Can you tell us some things about the word’s nuances? Why is it important?

2. Do you feel “solidarity” here in Greece? Do you have friends? How did you meet them? What do you do together? Do your differences make it harder to feel close to each other or no? Can differences unite people? What do you think?

3. Did you feel the notion of solidarity and togetherness back home? Do you have friends there? do you know them for a long time? how did you meet? What things were you doing together? How do you prefer to keep in touch with them?

4. Who is your best friend or who does you make feel that she or he will be there for you when needed?

5. Do you remember a movie, a song, a book or a poem related to solidarity or friendship? Could you write some things about it?

6. Have you ever helped a person when they really needed help? What happened?
