Piso Thrania Newspaper

We are teachers of Greek language to refugees. We have been teaching to refugees for years now. We are listening to their matters, we are discussing together, we are hanging out with them, we are learning from them.

This initiative came out from the need of their voices to be heard. We want to give them a tool so as to state their opinions on their matters, on their lives, on their experiences. We thought that a newspaper written only by them in their language or in whatever language suits them, would be a good start. We collect these articles, print them and distribute the newspaper in the city. We are not an NGO and we are not funded by anyone. We are just teachers who want to give a change to people from various cultures and countries to be heard without any mediators. The theme of the first issue is Solidarity.
